'Charge On' 5K Raises Money For St. Catherine Of Alexandria

Parish families and avid runners took to the streets of Oak Lawn on Saturday to support St. Catherine of Alexandria.

OAK LAWN, IL — Several runners, walkers and parents with strollers took to the streets of the St. Catherine of Alexandria parish in Oak Lawn Saturday morning to participate in the 9th annual "Charge On" 5K. Scroll through the photos at the top of this article for more images from the race.

Race Director Kelly Evans announced the three top overall finishers among both men and women following the 3.1 mile trek that started and ended at Lawn Manor Park.

Calista Steaniale was the top overall female finisher. She was followed by Kathleen Hall and Eileen Skisak.

The top male finisher was Arturs Bareikis. He was followed by Shay McShane and Mark Luttrell.

Several youngsters followed the 5K in a kids race that went up and down the hill on 108th Place just east of the park.

The parish picnic followed the races.

Money raised from the day's festivities will benefit the parish.
