Composite Released Of Driver Who Tried To Lure Boy To Car: Police
A young boy said the man drove up beside him on Friday and told him to get in his car. OLPD ask residents to check home security cameras.
OAK LAWN, IL — A 13-year-old boy was approached by a driver who demanded that he get into his vehicle on Friday evening, Oak Lawn police said. A composite sketch and an image of the car possibly involved in the attempted luring have been released, and police are hoping that residents can help identify the driver.
Around 6:15 p.m. March 19, OLPD answered a call of suspicious activity in the 9400 block of Major Avenue. The boy told police that a man in dark 4-door car, possibly a Honda, pulled up next to him and told him to get in the car.
The driver is described as male Hispanic or of middle eastern descent in his thirties. Police are actively investigation and several leads have been developed. Residents are asked to check their home security video for any additional images of the car or suspect that can help police in their investigation.
