Filing of Nominating Petitions Begins Next Week In Oak Lawn
Oak Lawn village and library board candidates can start filing nominating petitions to get on the April 2021 ballot Dec. 14 through Dec. 21.

OAK LAWN, IL — The Oak Lawn Village Clerk will start accepting nominating petitions for village board seats in April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election.
Nominating petitions may be tuned in beginning Dec. 14 and continuing through Dec. 21 during regular business hours Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates may bring their petitions to the clerk’s office on the second floor of Oak Lawn Village Hall, 9446 S. Raymond Ave.

Mayor - 4-year term
Village Clerk - 4-year term
Trustee, Dist. 2 - 4-year term
Trustee, Dist. 4 - 4-year term
Dist. 6, 4-year term
Also, the village clerk will accept nominating petitions for two seats on the Oak Lawn Library Board for 6-year terms.

Every two years in odd-numbered years, Illinois voters head to the polls on the first Tuesday in April to select people for city councils, village boards, mayor, school boards, park boards and other local elected officials.
Once they become available, candidates for local offices and referendums will be posted by the Cook County Clerk.
