Get Your 'Greek To Go' At St. Nicholas' Drive-Thru Greek Fest
Get your Greek to go at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church's drive-thru fest featuring Greek cuisine and pastries on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4.
OAK LAWN, IL — Opa! St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Oak Lawn, 10301 S. Kolmar Ave., will be holding a drive-thru Greek Fest this weekend. Residents can pick up some delicious Greek cuisine from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4.
Among the many coronavirus cancellations this summer was St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church’s annual Greek Fest. This weekend Ladies Philoptochos Society will be making their famous baklava, featured on WGN's "Chicago's Best," and other Greek delicacies.
Drive-thru festgoers can enjoy tasty plates of Greek chicken ($12), gyros ($10), pastisto ($8), Greek salad ($7), spanikopita ($6). Greek pastries feature baklava ($4) and galaktoboureko ($4), as well as bags of kourambiedes, melomakarona and koulourankia for $5.
