OAK LAWN, IL — The owner of Grassano’s Pizza is offering a $500 reward for the safe return of his little dog Forrest -- NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Gino and Cheryl Grassano are bereft since their little Forrest got out of the house on Sept. 26.

Forrest is a brown and white fluff ball. He was lost in the 9400 block of Sayre Avenue in Oak Lawn. He was wearing a blue collar and is microchipped. Forrest responds well to children and food.

Gino has been putting fliers on pizza boxes. They’ve plastered Forrest’s information all over social media, including Lost Dogs of Illinois Facebook, and Lost and Found Cats Dogs of the Southwest Side. Cheryl has been going door to door in their neighborhood looking for Forrest.

When COVID-19 shut businesses down for four months, the Grassanos adopted Forrest. While struggling to keep their employees working during the pandemic, going home to Forrest was a bright spot in Gino and Cheryl’s lives.

If you see Forrest, don’t chase him. Look under your decks, garden sheds and porches because little dogs love to hide. If you think you know where Forrest is, call 708-334-2094. You may also email me at lorraine.swanson@patch.com, and we’ll pass that information along to Gino.
