Gun Implied In Carjacking From Parking Lot
Oak Lawn police said the suspects threatened to shoot the owner if he didn't get out of his car, but a gun was never displayed.
OAK LAWN, IL — A man’s vehicle was carjacked as he sat in the parking lot of an apartment building early Tuesday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., Oak Lawn police went to the 9700 block of South Pulaski Road. The vehicle owner told police two men came up when he was sitting in his car in the parking lot. The men told him to get out of the car, or they would shoot him, police said.
Although the men threatened to shoot the owner, a gun was never displayed. Police said the men fled the parking lot in the owner’s gray 2011 Honda Accord, heading south on Pulaski.

The men were described as young and black. Oak Lawn police are investigation and looking at similarities to another carjacking on April 18 at 103rd Street and Western Avenue.
