IHSA honors Richards varsity girls for academic excellence

The Illinois High School Association recently announced that the varsity girls basketball team from Richards High School earned the Team Academic Award.

This program rewards teamwork not only in competition, but in the classroom. This award honors teams that maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher throughout their respective season.

Richards will receive a plaque recognizing with name plates for all players who contributed to this award.
