Knight and Day Cafe Connects with the Community
Simmons brings the community together for a first time event.
Last month, Simmons Middle School Students celebrated the first annual Knight and Day Cafe event. Students prepared and served coffee, tea, and treats to Ridgeland 122 staff, parents, and members of the community including Oak Lawn Mayor, Sandra Bury, and Village Clerk, Jane Quinlan. The event was also hosted by new District 122 Superintendent Joseph Matise. A special guest, NFL Lineman and Super Bowl Champion, Michael Schofield was also in attendance. Michael, who is the brother of Stephanie Norkus, a Ridgeland 122 employee, donated money for the weekly Knight and Day Cafe Cart.
