Mr. Krickl's Garage Haunt Offers Scare With Social Distancing
Billy Krickl's contactless garage haunt kicks off for one day only on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Oak Lawn. He'll poke your kids with a fake arm.

OAK LAWN, IL — Mr. Krickl isn’t letting a pandemic stop his Halloween pranks. He’s not stuffing his garage with hay this year, but after 19 years he’s not going to let the kiddos down either.
This year, Mr. Krickl’s cast of teen slashers will be practicing social distancing by wearing face masks and welcoming a showing the “trapped” Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Mr. Krickl’s son, Andy, will be jumping into the Lecter character who will be modestly restrained in the garage that turns into a portal into another dimension every Halloween.
Michael Myers will be lurking about on the driveway poking kids with a long fake arm and making them work for their candy as they unknowingly come closer to Dr. Lecter.

Like everything in 2020, there won’t be a walk-through this year, but less is more. Mr. Krickl’s haunt at 10520 S. Kildare Ave., Oak Lawn, is contactless except for the fake arm. Please wear a facemask. Social distancing will be practiced, so stay with your household group and wait for the driveway to clear out before your visit with Dr. Lecter. Don't tick him off.
Oak Lawn Patch will be stopping by for our annual visit after we show off our dogs’ adorable Halloween costumes. Trick-or-treating in Oak Lawn is set for noon to 6 p.m. Mr. Krickl and his boy will be scaring youngsters during that time.
