OLCHS Kicks Off Homecoming Week 'Together Again/Apart'
Oak Lawn Community High School celebrates homecoming with a reverse parade, crowning of homecoming court April 23 and football game April 24

OAK LAWN, IL — With the pandemic putting everything topsy-turvy, Oak Lawn Community High School is celebrating homecoming in the spring, with a reverse parade and a big game against Argo High School.
The 2020-2021 homecoming theme is “Staying Together/Apart,” with activities scheduled for April 19 through April 23. Due to COVID restrictions, the high school cannot do some favorite annual traditions, but the OLCHS Student Council is excited to bring energy and school spirit in a new way. In-school homecoming activities include daily spirit days and prizes.
The first-ever drive-thru reverse parade will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 23 at the high school campus, 9400 Southwest Highway. Students, staff, families, and community members are encouraged to attend and drive-thru to see over 25 various activities and sports teams. Coronation of the Homecoming King/Queen will be at 5 p.m. Cars must enter via Austin Avenue.

The culmination of the week is a football matchup when the Spartans take on the Argo Argonauts in Napleton Field at noon Saturday, April 24.
The student council is proud to announce the OLCHS Homecoming 20-21 Court. Congratulations to juniors: Christian Barrera, Steven Hebel, John McGowan, Bianca Bafia, Mia Kennelly, and Camille Yu. Congratulations to seniors: Benjamin Cash, Michael Conroy, Ryan Kennelly, James Walsh, Iman Khater, Emma McGrath, Ella Moore, and Emma O'Malley-Galvan.
