Our Lady At St. Germaine Blesses Pets On St. Francis Feast Day
Our Lady At St. Germaine in Oak Lawn will mark St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day with a pet blessing on Sunday, Oct. 4.
OAK LAWN IL — Parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago will mark the fest day of St. Francis of Assisi with outdoor pet blessings. St Francis is the patron saint of animals and the environment.
Furry, feathery, fluffy, slimy and spikey friends of all shapes and sizes are welcome to the celebrations. All animals must be safely secured or on leashes.
