Pactiv Hosts 2-Day Job Fair For Manufacturing Positions

BRIDGEVIEW, IL — Pactiv, a leading manufacturer and supplier of consumer food and beverage packaging and storage products, will be holding a job fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 and Thursday, Oct. 22.

The job fair will be held at Hampton Inn, 7010 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview.

The company is looking for packers and machine operators at its facilities in Bridgeview and Bedford Park. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods as well as bend, stoop and lift.

Packers perform quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs into the appropriate packaging, and replacing adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery. The job pays up to $16 an hour.

Machine operators safely and effectively operates thermoforming equipment to produce quality products, troubleshoots line issues and maintains run efficiencies for the line and product type. Machine operators earn up to $26.37 an hour.

From its world headquarters in Lake Forest, Pactiv oversees global production of more than 11,000 employees at more than 50 manufacturing plants, mixing centers and distribution centers.
