Pumpkin Patch Opens For 2020 At First United Methodist Church

Pumpkins, gourds, crafts, goodies and more will be for sale at the First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn from Oct. 11 through Oct. 31.

OAK LAWN, IL — The south suburbs’ most sincere pumpkin patch opens Sunday, Oct. 11 at the First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn. If you’re working on your fall or Halloween yard decor, or just want to tire your preschooler out before their afternoon nap, make sure you visit this pumpkin patch at 100th Street and Central Avenue in Oak Lawn. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday through Oct. 31.

Pumpkins and gourds of all shapes, colors and sizes will be spread across the church lawn. The pumpkins are gorgeous this year and the church is offering a wide selection, as well as free family fun including tractor rides (family groups only), scarecrow building, spots for fall family pictures, and a Halloween and Christmas craft tent along with gifts and baked goods for purchase including Dawn’s famous pumpkin bread.

Parking lot sales featuring vendors and handmade items will be happening from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 10 and Oct. 24.

First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn will be following all state mandates and CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Volunteers and visitors must wear face masks. You may have to wait a few minutes to take part in certain activities in order to maintain social distancing, so please be patient.
