Leo Club and National Honor Society from Richards High School decorated the sidewalks at the main entrance of Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn to tell nurses how much their community appreciates them.
“Chalk the Walk” celebrated National Nurses Week in May. National Honor Society faculty sponsor Jill Wojciechowski and Leo Club faculty sponsor Karen Lavin organized the service project.
“The kids did a great job decorating the sidewalks near the main entrance of the hospital. We received several thank you’s from people passing by, and some even grabbed a piece of chalk to join in the fun!” Lavin said.
