
The varsity girls swimming team from Richards High School won the South Suburban Conference Red Division championship on Friday. The photo featured here is a composite of all the individual pictures.
Following their 4-2 regular season, Richards competed at the conference meet on Friday. "We've been very fortunate this season with staying healthy and working hard in the pool, and Friday's conference win is a testament to the dedication and drive of the entire varsity team," said coach Ariel Palacios.

"And we had several strong finishes in the top 12 spots by Jackie Ballesteros, Sara Dobrzynski, and Maggie Gillespie. We're looking forward to Sectionals this Saturday, where hopefully Kate Gillespie will be able to break the old (1982) school record for the 50 Freestyle, which she's only about 1.24 seconds off of," coach added.
