Shepard senior Mucha signs with HCC

"We are so thankful for her commitment to our program!"

Shepard High School senior Lilly Mucha this week signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball next year with Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois.

Family and coaches gathered with her to celebrate the event.

“We are so proud of Lilly. Coach Casey Jefferson and her program at Heartland College are getting a kid that we call a culture keeper. She has a team-first mentality, makes us belly laugh and launches balls over center field,” said Shepard varsity head coach Kelsey Clifford.

“Since her freshmen year, Lilly has always been there to fill in any role we needed! All requests were followed with ‘I got it, coach!’ We are so thankful for her commitment to our program and can’t wait to see her on her next adventure!” Clifford added.
