Village of Oak Lawn Job Opportunity: Water Meter Reader

The Village of Oak Lawn is seeking a part-time (no benefits) individual to fill the position of water meter reader. This position requires two to four days per month.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Applicants must be able to read, write and articulate English fluently; be in good physical condition to walk the meter reading route and complete a route in a timely manner; follow instructions and grasp new concepts as presented; possess a current valid Illinois Driver’s License that is free of moving violations; provide his/her own fully insured vehicle for transportation to and from a designated route.

Applicants will be required to pass a physical, drug and alcohol test and criminal background check and must be a United States Citizen.

Salary: 45-cents per meter read, plus mileage reimbursement
