Woman Kidnapped Near Nursing Home In 'Domestic Dispute:' Police

OAK LAWN, IL — An armed man kidnapped a woman outside an Oak Lawn nursing home in what police are describing as a domestic dispute. This is an isolated incident and there is no public safety threat.

Around 10:15 p.m., officers went to Manor Care East, 9400 S. Kostner Ave. after a man armed with a handgun forced a woman back into the nursing home. Officers searched the building, but the man and woman were no longer on the scene.

During the investigation, the woman was found and suffering from multiple injuries. The man is known to Oak Lawn police and remains at large.
