2 Dolton Residents Charged With Orland Mail, Identity Theft
A Dolton man and woman accused of stealing mail from Orland businesses have been charged with mail and identity theft.
ORLAND PARK, IL — Two Dolton residents have been charged with mail and identity theft after Orland Park police arrested them on a tip early Thursday morning.
According to police, someone called officers to tell them they saw a car drive off after taking mail from a mailbox at a business on the 10400 block of 163rd Place at 4:25 a.m. Thursday. Police found the car and stopped the drivers, Jeanetta S. Roland, 20, of Dolton, and Aubrey Marshall, 20, of Dolton. Police said several businesses had reported mail thefts before and the arrest likely stopped the culprits.
Inside the car, they found a black nylon bag that contained unopened mail from nearby businesses. Officers also found a United States Postal arrow key, which they said gave Roland and Marshall access to secured mail boxes.
