Bridge Work On LaGrange Road Over Cal-Sag Channel Begins Monday
Expect lane closures and slower traffic times on LaGrange Road over the Cal-Sag after bridge work begins Monday.
ORLAND PARK, IL —The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin repairing and installing a bridge deck overlay on the bridge that carries LaGrange Road, or U.S. Route 45, over the Calumet Sag Channel in Palos Township July 8. The work will require lanes to be reduced to one lane in each direction.
The work is expected to be complete by the end of September.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
