Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School Welcomes Students Back

CJB students returned to in-person learning today with a few surprises from the CJB staff.

Cardinal Joseph Bernardin welcomed students back on campus on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, after a two-week period of remote learning mandated by the Archdiocese of Chicago after Christmas break. At morning drop off, students were greeted by Principal Kelly Bourrell and the CJB Cardinal Mascot. They were also met with a festive Welcome Back greeting covering the ground at the main entrance (by SignGypsies in Frankfort). Principal Bourrell says, “We are so thankful and excited to see our students back for our 20th week of in person instruction, we wanted to do something special to welcome them back.” It was great to see the excitement by the students as they arrived back at school.

Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School, twice-recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (2008 and 2018), will be hosting private tours for the upcoming 2021-22 school year. Thirty minute private tours are available on January 23rd and 31st, 2021 from 10:00AM - 2:30PM. All COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed, including hand sanitizer and temperature checks. CJB is celebrating its 20th year and is committed to providing a top-rated academic experience as well as a safe learning environment centered in faith.
