Family Man Craig Alan Ketchum, Orland Park, Dies At 71
Craig Alan Ketchum died after a long courageous battle with cancer. His memorial service is set for Sunday, Dec. 1.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Craig Alan Ketchum, of Orland Park, rarely missed a game, meet, concert or a show. If his children or grandchildren were in it, Craig was there. It’s with those precious memories in mind that his family announces with great sorrow Craig’s death on Nov. 24 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Craig would have turned 72 on Dec. 15.
Ketchum’s daughter, Amanda, described Craig as an amazing dad, the grandchildren’s pop and loving husband. He was the definition of a family man. Craig had a helping hand and smile for everyone.
“His first thought was always for those around him,” Craig’s children said. “He had the kindest heart and eyes.”

As a U.S. Army veteran, Craig was a huge supporter of military service members and veterans. In lieu of flowers, his family is requesting donations in Craig’s name to Wreaths Across America, to decorate the graves of those who served resting at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
Ketchum was a computer specialist who was avalable 24/7 for anyone needing help with their computers. He owned and operating CK Systems and IHCRS.

A memorial service will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, to share stories and memories of Craig at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S. State St., Manhattan, IL. An interment ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery is planned for spring 2020 at a date to be announced.
