Happy Mother’s Day To Brandy Whitlow

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Zoe Whitlow's letter to her mom:

My name is Zoe Whitlow. I’m 15 years old, and my mother is Brandy Whitlow or, as all the kids call her, Bdiz. She’s been a single mother for 15 years, raising both me and my 7-year-old sister, Mackenzie.

She has always been completely supportive and encouraging of my sister and me to be successful. My mom and I have a bond that not many teens have with their parents. I respect her, she trusts me and we’re able to have tons of fun together. She truly is the best mom a daughter could ask for.
