One Injured in 2-Car Crash in Orland Park

One car rear-ends another while traveling at high rate of speed. Driver of one car transported to nearby hospital.

ORLAND PARK, IL — One person was injured after a two-car rollover accident Saturday afternoon in Orland Park.

The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of 159th Street at 84th Avenue, just before 3 p.m. A Chevy Spark traveling at a high rate of speed struck the rear of a Mercedes four-door. The Chevy then flipped over, coming to rest on its roof.

The driver of the Chevy was transported to a nearby hospital, police said. DUI charges could be possible, police told a reporter.

Two people inside the Mercedes refused treatment at the scene.

Westbound lanes were shutdown for just under an hour.
