ORLAND PARK, IL — A house fire blazed on Sunday afternoon in Orland Park, with multiple fire departments responding to stop the flames, according to the Orland Fire District.

Around 1:37 p.m. Sunday, the fire district said it responded to the 13900 block of Springview in Orland Park, after multiple 911 calls reported a house fire. The two-story, single-family residence blaze also exposed flames to a home just north of the location, the fire district said.

When firefighters got there they encountered heavy smoke and fire in the rear of the home. The fire district said that due to gusty winds, heavy smoke and fire conditions, the alarm was upgraded to a box alarm, and fire crews utilized multiple lines to quickly extinguish the fire.
