Serial Retail Thief Arrested: Orland Police
Rashieda Saunders, 29, of Chicago was already wanted for fleeing and eluding officers following a separate retail theft investigation.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A woman wanted in connection with several retail thefts is now behind bars, according to police.
Orland Park detectives said they found Rashieda Saunders, 29, of Chicago near her home Wednesday before taking her into custody.
Police said Saunders, a convicted felon, was already wanted for fleeing and eluding officers following a separate retail theft investigation that took place in 2020.

On April 28, the Orland Park police responded to a retail theft at Dick’s Sporting Goods at 1 Orland Park Place following a report that several people grabbed more than $3,000 worth of merchandise and ran out of the emergency exit.
Upon further investigation, police said Saunders was identified as one of the suspects. After locating her, police transported her down to headquarters where she was charged with retail theft in addition to her three outstanding warrants.

Police said those active warrants originated from the Schaumburg Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office for retail theft as well.
A judge set her bond Thursday at $10,000.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
