Orland Park Police Warn of String of Burglaries and Attempts, Offenders Kicking in Doors
Police asking for anyone with information to come forward.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park police are warning residents to be alert after a series of successful burglaries, and two attempts.
Three homes were burglarized May 10, police said in a release. The crimes occurred in the areas of 14700 block of Lakeview Drive, 8100 block of Bob O Link Road and 14200 Block of Terry Drive.
Around the same time as the burglary on Lakeview Drive, an attempted burglary was reported at a townhome in the 9000 block of Carlisle Lane. Another attempt took place May 9 in the 9000 block of Sunrise Lane—both between 8 and 9 p.m. The residents were home during the Carlisle attempt, and scared the man off by yelling. The victim described the suspect as being male based on his voice.

At the Carlisle attempt, the offender tried to kick in a side access door. The burglary at the single family home on Bob O Link took place at approximately 10:35 a.m. while the homeowners were not home. The side access door was kicked in, the home was ransacked and jewelry and cash was stolen.

Orland Park Police Detectives are actively investigating these incidents. Anyone who can provide information regarding these burglaries is urged to contact the Orland Park Police at (708) 349-411. Residents who observe any suspicious activity in their neighborhood are requested to immediately call 911 to report the activity.
