Orland School District 135 to Require Proof of Residency Each School Year

Parents may begin providing residency documents to the registration department beginning in January for the upcoming school year.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Beginning the 2017-2018 school year, Orland School District 135 will be following the practice established by District 230, and will require that each student’s family provide proof of residency each year. Requiring proof of residency each year will allow the District to maintain an accurate account of enrolled students. This procedure will also bolster the District’s efforts to be fiscally responsible by ensuring that students who attend our schools are legally entitled to do so. It is in the best interest of all taxpayers in the District that we require proof of residency each year.

Parents may begin providing residency documents to the registration department beginning in January for the upcoming school year. The registration department is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

For those who are unable to provide proof of residency during normal business hours, there will be several after-hours events set aside for that purpose. More information about these dates will be forthcoming.
