Orland Township Driver's Facility Officially Open: Ribbon Cutting
Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White joined Orland Township officials in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new driver's facility.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White joined Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady and other officials in the township for a ribbon cutting ceremony, at the new express Driver Services facility.
The new facility, located at 14807 S Ravinia Ave., replaces the one at the Orland Park Village Hall, which closed earlier this year.
The new facility provides express services like driver’s license and license plate renewals. The office, which opened on Sept. 21, serves customers Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"I applaud Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady for working with my office to bring the best possible service to the people of Orland Park and the southwest suburbs," White said.
"It is our mission at Orland Township to do everything we can to enhance the quality of life for our residents,” O’Grady said. " I am hoping the 60,000 people who used the Secretary of State's office in 2019 will find this helpful for them going forward."
O'Grady said there is a lot to be excited about by bringing the facility to the township.
"This is a really great day for the Orland Township and 90,000 people we represent. The fact that we were able to negotiate this deal and open in 90 days makes me very excited," O'Grady said.
The supervisor said that with the pandemic, this is a time for elected officials to comes together.
"We have to work together to make sure that we're putting our citizens and our residents first, not our own agendas... and it seemed to me that the mayor of Orland Park put his own agenda ahead of the people," O'Grady said. "I gave up my office here and my conference room in an effort to make this happen. So there were some sacrifices."

O'Grady said that bringing the facility to the township was a collaborative effort locally, and that the township board embraced the idea immediately.
"State Senator Cunningham, State Senator Hastings, working with us between the township and Secretary White's office, who we had no relationship with [prior]... and so many other staff members helped get this place back up and running," O'Grady said. "That is what we want to see in times of crisis. To bring the services we were elected to do and keep them here for our residents."
Services provided at the new Orland Township facility include:
- Driver’s license renewal and vision screening
- CDL renewal and vision screening
- License plate renewals
- State ID renewal card
- Temporary disability placards, first time issuance and replacement
- Organ donor registry
- Voter registration applications
"Thanks to Supervisor O’Grady and Secretary White, Orland area residents will continue to receive the services they deserve," Senator Bill Cunningham said.
