Orland Township Partnering to Host Community Shred-A-Thon
Orland Township and the Village of Tinley Park will be hosting a Community Shred-A-Thon for their residents at the end of July.

ORLAND PARK, IL – Orland Township and the Village of Tinley Park will be hosting a Community Shred-A-Thon for residents who want to safely dispose of unwanted personal documents without worry. Township and Village residents are welcome to attend on Saturday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to noon at the 80th Ave. Train Station. This is a no-contact event, making it safer for both employees and residents.
ProShred trucks will be on site and all paper shredding will be free. Residents are limited to five banker boxes of shredding. This event is NOT intended for businesses.
"Mayor Glotz and I are happy to be able to provide a way for residents to safely dispose of any unwanted documents that accumulated during the Pandemic," said Supervisor O’Grady. "We understand that secure shredding services are not always easily accessible, and therefore we are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our residents."

The Orland Township and Village of Tinley Park Community Shred-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to noon at the 80th Ave. Train Station North Parking Lot, Tinley Park, IL. 60477. The event is for Orland Township and Village of Tinley Park residents only, and attendees are asked to bring I.D.
Following CDC guidelines regarding social distancing and to help prevent the spread of
COVID-19, residents attending the event are asked to adhere to the following:

- Wearing a mask when interacting with Township staff is recommended for those who have not been vaccinated.
- Please stay in your vehicle at all times.
- Place shredding materials in trunk or cargo area of vehicle. Staff will unload your vehicle. Please be sure to remove any items not intended for shredding. Make sure to have trunk or cargo area unlocked or have the ability to open/unlock from the inside of your vehicle.
