Overheated Fan Causes Attic Fire In Orland Park Home
It happened at the 7300 block of 157th Street, according to the Orland Fire Protection District.
ORLAND PARK, IL — An overheated fan in the attic of an Orland Park home caused a fire early Wednesday morning, according to the Orland Fire Protection District.
Around 6:44 a.m., firefighters headed out to the 7300 block of 157th Street in Orland Park after reports of a fire were called in. When firefighters arrived, they found a burnt out exhaust fan in a third floor bathroom, and damages. While continuing to investigate, officials say a small fire was found in the attic.
More agencies were called to the scene and the fire was quickly extinguished, according to the fire district. The damages were limited the room of origin and the home was turned over to the homeowner and Village of Orland Park Building Department.

The fire protection district said no injuries were counted upon arrival, or after extinguishing the flames.
