See Inside U of Chicago's New $61M Outpatient Center in Orland Park

You can take a tour Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The University of Chicago's new outpatient center is set to open its doors to the public Tuesday, December 13, but area residents are invited to get a sneak peek before then.

The U of C invites residents to an open house at Center for Advanced Care on the corner of 143rd and LaGrange Road, 14290 S. La Grange Rd. on Friday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Visitors can step inside, tour the facility and even speak with staff. Services offered at the four-story, 108,000-square-foot facility include radiation oncology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, cardiology, pediatrics, women's health and surgical consulting. More than 100 employees will staff the center, including 20 doctors, according to the U of C.

The $61 million center includes 80 examination rooms, 26 infusion bays, CT scanner, MRI, X-ray machine, ultrasound and pharmacy. Beginning in April 2017, a CVS store will occupy the main level of the building.
