2019 Shorewood's Festival Of Trees Display Starts Nov. 26

Shorewood has several events set up during the holidays. Here's what you need to know.

SHOREWOOD, IL — The village of Shorewood has several events lined up during the coming month to help the community get into the festive spirit.

HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING

When: 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26

Where: Towne Center Park

An annual event attended by Mayor Rick Chapman and the village board. The tree will be lit while holiday music plays over the sound system.

FESTIVAL OF TREES

When: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

Nov. 26-Dec. 27

Where: Shorewood Village Hall

SUNDAY WITH SANTA

When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1

Where: Village Hall

HOLIDAY LIGHTS TOUR

When: Friday, Dec. 6. Event is free and there will be free hot chocolate at each stop. Residents must pre-register by calling 815-741-7710 or signing up for a time at the online registration.

The Parks and Recreation staff will have two hayracks going through Shorewood to show off the holiday lights. Pick up locations are:

6 p.m. Huntington Park

6 p.m. West Shore Park

7 p.m. Country West Park

7 p.m. Wynstone Park
