4th DUI Charge For 43-Year-Old Shorewood Man

SHOREWOOD, IL — The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged a 43-year-old Shorewood man with his fourth offense of drunken driving. Illinois State Police troopers arrested Thomas Hartnett on Saturday night along a stretch of Interstate 80 in Joliet, according to court records.

Hartnett was booked into the Will County Jail around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and he was released from detention about 12 hours later after posting 10 percent of his $20,000 bail.

Prosecutors have charged Hartnett with aggravated driving under the influence.

The criminal complaint states that the Shorewood man, "while under the influence of alcohol, drove a vehicle, a black Jeep Cherokee, on Interstate 80, westbound, near Milepost 130 in Joliet."
