Bears Sack Trestman, GM Phil Emery
The team finished the 5-11 season with a loss to the Vikings Sunday.

Despite telling ESPN Sunday that he expected to be back for the 2015 season, Bears head coach Marc Trestman got some bad news Monday.
After just two seasons, Trestman has been fired, along with General Manager Phil Emery, NFL.com reported.
Trestman sounded confident about his job prospects despite Sunday’s loss to the Vikings, telling ESPN, “My plan is to continue to finalize my notes now that the season is over and make sure that opportunity arises, I’ll be able to explain how to fix this thing, because we have to get better ... Nobody understands the situation better than I do.”

The Bears finished the season with a dismal 5-11 record.
Trestman’s tenure with the team was the second shortest in Bears history. He stuck around for 32 games — slightly longer than the 24 games of Paddy Driscoll in the 1956-57 season, according to Yahoo Sports.
