Casa Maya Finds New Shorewood Location
Do you plan to visit Casa Maya at the new spot?

SHOREWOOD, IL - If you've driven around Shorewood lately, you can't help but notice all the signs of economic progress. Last fall, the new Chicken-N-Spice opened at Route 59 and U.S. 52. Next month, the Casa Maya Mexican Restaurant plans to relocate to the new Anderson's Crossroads Plaza that shares the same parking lot with Chicken-N-Spice.
On Monday, Patch stopped by the existing Casa Maya restaurant, which is near the Park Place Plaza, just down the road from the Shorewood Police Department.
Casa Maya representatives told Patch they are anticipating moving into their new building during the month of April. Casa Maya has been at its current restaurant location for nearly 14 years.

At the Crossroads Plaza, Casa Maya will occupy the building bay that is closest to the Jewel grocery store. The Tru Salon is expected to occupy one of the other newly constructed bays, Shorewood representatives indicated.

Other tenants near the new Casa Maya Mexican restaurant remain a mystery.

Patch noticed a FOR RENT sign in one of the windows Monday afternoon.
Shorewood's intersection of Route 59 and U.S. 52, which is Jefferson Street, is one of the busiest in the entire Joliet and Will County area. Chicken-N-Spice told Patch last fall that approximately 60,000 vehicles pass through the Shorewood intersection every day.
