Chesterbrook Academy Students Donate 175 Gifts for Local Children

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Shorewood held a gift drive in support of The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Shorewood recently presented a donation of gifts to a representative from The Salvation Army. Over the past few weeks, students worked together to fulfill the wishes of 70 local children in need through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. In total, students collected more than 175 gifts for the children. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to their community and helping others, especially during the holiday season.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program provides new clothes and toys for 1 million children who usually go without gifts during the holiday season. Anonymous donors adopt these little "angels" in an expanding holiday tradition that makes the season brighter for both the gift giver and receiver.
