Congratulating The Class Of 2021: Amelia Koren Of MCHS

Shorewood Patch is celebrating this year's seniors for their accomplishments.

SHOREWOOD, IL — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted.

Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year’s grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one.

Plans after graduation: UCLA - University of California Los Angeles. Amelia was accepted into the School of Art and Architecture as a Dance Major. She will be continuing her education in dance, design, and entrepreneurship while pursuing her dance career and traveling as a c

Accomplishments: Amelia is a high honor student who has balanced her education while being a decorated elite competition dancer and training over 30 hours a week at Encore Dance Productions. She has also been pursuing her dance career with MSA Agency since 8the grade.

Special message: Amelia has never seized to amaze us! She has always been an independent, self motivated, hard working, successful individual! She worked so and is so honored to be part of the 4% accepted as a UCLA Dance Major. Proud is an understatement.
