VISITATIONS AND FUNERALS

  • We are taking every precaution to insure our personnel and facilities are safe. In accordance with the CDC guidelines and the President’s directive, we are only permitting a limited amount of people in the funeral home to pay respects to surviving family members at a time. All in attendance will be required to maintain social distancing. For those who are compelled to make human contact only elbow-to-elbow “bumps” are permitted. All non-immediate family who are invited to attend funeral home visitations will conform to the following safe number protocol. Pull under the respective labeled canopy (like a funeral procession), wait in your car, a funeral director will let you pay your respects (limited time), return to your car and drive away so the next limited numbered guest may enter.
  • Some families may wish to postpone their services. We understand this and have a myriad of options to be contemplated on a family-by-family basis. At a minimum, a funeral obituary should be prepared and posted. We also recommend doing an online movie to accompany the obituary notice.

This posting allows family and friends to share in the moment. This should occur with plans for what will happen next and when to memorialize and gather to honor your loved one.
These guidelines will remain in effect unless modified suspended or revoked. For the most up to date evolving Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes operational guidelines, please view our website at www.fredcdames.com on our home page.
We understand this is a once in a lifetime moment, we want to keep you and our staff protected. Together we will make sure this moment never gets lost in time.
