Crowd Around Me Closed After Worker Gets Coronavirus

SHOREWOOD, IL — The Crowd Around Me, a popular bar and grill at Shorewood's busiest intersection, will not be open for the indefinite future. One of the employees tested positive for the new coronavirus, the restaurant announced Friday on social media.

"The Crowd Around Me will be closed until further notice," the business alerted social media followers. "We have an employee who went on vacation and was feeling sick upon return. She did not return to work but has now tested positive for Covid-19."

The Illinois Department of Public Health indicated that the Shorewood business was not obligated to close, however, "we are taking all proper precautions. We will be cleaning and when other employees show negative tests, we will reopen. Thank you for understanding, and we will get through this!"
