Driver Found in Middle of Roadway Charged with DUI: Blotter

SUNDAY, JAN. 12

Latia A. Swopes, 20, of the 1500 block of Centennial Drive, Joliet, was charged with possessing drug equipment after police responded to request for motorist assistance at about 10:58 p.m. near Interstate 55 and Route 59. She posted bond and was released with court information.

Leobardo Lara, 28, of the 3400 block of Hamilton, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance and improper parking in the roadway after police responded to a report at about 3:43 a.m. of a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway near Cottage and Shorewood Lane. He posted bond and was released with court information.
