Holy Family's 3rd Annual Alumni Turkey Shoot
Alums gathered on Nov. 26th for a fun 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Holy Family School.
Holy Family alums competed in the 3rd Annual Holy Family Turkey Shoot on November 26th. Alums from the class of ‘09, ‘10, ‘12, & ‘14 participated in the tournament and enjoyed being back in the gym where many of them learned to play basketball. Team names included: Alecks, 2 Tall 1 Small, Wishbones, Tropics, and the Michael Scott Paper Company. Sports Authority gift cards were awarded to teammates on the ‘2 Tall 1 Small’ team for having the best name. Paul Koerner, Zack Reece, and Allen Vo won the gift cards for being the most senior team to play in the event. The Alecks won the tournament and went home with Sports Authority gift cards, because they had the best record of 4-0. A big thanks to Jim Maloney, former Holy Family Athletic Director, who organized the bracket and supervised the tournament. Thanks to Holy Family’s 8th grade teacher, Mr. Passarelli, who came to watch his former students from the class of ‘14 on team ‘2 Tall 1 Small’. Thanks to all the alums who participated. We hope even more alums will join in next year’s tournament! One player commented, “I love coming back for the Turkey Shoot. It’s the only reason I come back from school (over Thanksgiving break). It’s great seeing all the Holy Family members. I love being back in this school, because it’s great seeing the building and the people that gave us so much over the years. Go Holy Family, and go Team Alecks!”
