'I Am Afraid Nick Is Actually Going To Kill Me:' Mokena Victim
Shorewood resident Nicholas Sarich has two new Will County warrants out for his arrest.

SHOREWOOD, IL — Shorewood resident Nicholas Sarich has two outstanding warrants for his arrest on charges of unlawful violation of an order of protection and criminal trespass to a residence in Mokena. The victim is a 26-year-old woman who had been Sarich's girlfriend, court records show.
The Mokena Police Department has investigated the crimes.
According to an order of protection on file at the Will County Courthouse, Sarich showed up at his ex-girlfriend's church and parked right next to her car around 10 p.m, on Nov. 4.

"He got out and started screaming at me," the woman wrote Will County's judges. "I ran back into the building. Nick came into the building. My group leader took me into the back office and locked the door. The police were called."
On Oct. 6, the woman's order of protection petition noted, Sarich "called me about six times in an hour, calling me names, threatening my life, he said if he found out I was lying he was going to kill me. I went home. I live with my grandparents. About 15 minutes later, I heard the garage door go up. I heard someone banging on the door screaming and trying to (break) the door down. I knew it was Nick."

The woman notified the judge that Sarich kicked the door open and the door hit her.
"Nick came back into the house and was telling me he was going to choke me until I stopped breathing and slam my head off the ground until I was dead," the protection order states.
"He said once he got through that door, we were going to do things his way ... He told me if he ever gets arrested because of me he will come back and kill me."
The Mokena woman stated that "Nick has hurt me physically a hand full of times before. He has choked me until I have passed out. He has hit me with his car, he slammed my head against glass. Nick keeps calling me threatening me, then he is nice. He flips back and forth ... I am afraid that Nick is actually going to kill me."
Will County Court records indicate that Nick Sarich lives in the 500 block of Shorewood's Westwood Drive. Last week, Will County Associate Judge Chrystel Gavlin issued the warrants for Sarich's arrest and she set his bail at $150,000 for the criminal trespass charge. Sarich is charged with violating the order of protection petition already on file against him by calling his ex-girlfriend on the phone on Dec. 18, Mokena Police's criminal complaint states.
The warrant also indicates Sarich works for the Chicago Steel Iron Workers Union.
