Portillo's Shorewood Hit-And-Run: Warrant For Crest Hill Woman

A Shorewood Police Department investigation has led to criminal charges against a 21-year-old woman who is not in police custody yet.

SHOREWOOD, IL —The Shorewood Police Department is trying to capture a 21-year-old Crest Hill woman who is being charged with fleeing the scene of a parking lot crash with another vehicle at the busy Portillo's Hot Dogs restaurant on Route 59.

The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged Heaven Alexander with leaving the scene of a property damage accident. The criminal complaint indicates that Alexander struck a man's vehicle on July 18 at the Portillo's and "thereafter knowingly failed to immediately stop the vehicle she was driving at the scene of such motor vehicle accident ... and (failed) to return to and in every event remain at the scene of such motor vehicle accident ... regarding the duty to give information and render aid have been fulfilled."

The bench warrant for Alexander's arrest was issued by Will County Judge Art Smigielski on Sept. 28. Two weeks later, Alexander has not been taken into custody.

Court records listed her last known address as the apartment units in the 1400 block of Crest Hill's Rock Run Drive.

The Will County Warrants website does not list a photo for Alexander.
