Will County prosecutors charged Minooka resident Mark Feltenstein with reckless driving. He also received eight traffic tickets.

SHOREWOOD, IL — An 18-year-old Minooka resident who prosecutors say blew through stop lights along Route 59 and was driving 43 mph above the speed limit was arrested by the Shorewood Police Department last week on charges of reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and eight traffic tickets.
One of Mark Feltenstein's traffic tickets indicates he was driving 88 mph in a posted 45-mph zone. The incident that led to his arrest by Shorewood police happened April 22.
According to the criminal complaint, Feltenstein was driving his Chevrolet Corvette "with willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons and property on Route 59 in Shorewood."

Will County prosecutors say the 18-year-old Minooka reckless driver "drove his vehicle at a high rate of speed away from police officers with their squad lights illuminated illegally entered the designated medians (past) vehicles and struck a raised median."
Feltenstein's family has hired Joliet criminal defense lawyer Daniel Walsh to represent him. The defendant lives in the 1400 block of Bluestem Lane. Walsh told Patch that he is still in the early stages of obtaining the police reports surrounding the incident, so he did not have a comment to make at this time.
