Rt 59's Crispy Waffle Reopening, Minor Menu Changes
Shorewood's Crispy Waffle on Route 59 near Holy Family Catholic Church chose to shutdown temporarily after the coronavirus outbreak.

SHOREWOOD, IL — One of the most popular dine-in restaurants along Route 59 in the Joliet area is reopening for business after closing for a month amid the new coronavirus outbreak. Crispy Waffle, which is in the strip mall near Holy Family Catholic Church, reopens for carryout orders on Thursday morning. It plans to stay open for six hours a day.
Crispy Waffle employees posted information on their Facebook page Wednesday. Their restaurant will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for curbside pickup.

"We will be offering our full menu with the exception of: Potato Pancakes, Double Chocolate Waffle, Cinnamon Apples, Caramel Apple, Homefries (Plain Hashbrowns will be available), Grits, Oatmeal, Yogurt, Fruit Plate & Cole Slaw," the restaurant informed its social media followers.
Crispy Waffle, 564 Brook Forest Ave., Shorewood, also wanted customers from the Joliet area to know: "We remain ready to serve you through telephone ordering; currently accepting credit & debit."
