Semi Crash Along I-80: Motorists Urged To Stay Off Route 52
Shorewood police say that the semitrailer rollover along Interstate 80 at Ridge Road was to blame.
SHOREWOOD, IL —The Shorewood Police Department issued an advisory shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday notifying people that semi truck accidents on Interstate 80 in both directions have caused traffic problems in Shorewood.
One rollover crash involved two semi-trucks along a portion of Interstate 80 near Ridge Road.
"Route 52 in both directions was being used as the main detour and Shorewood is EXTRAORDINARILY impacted. Residents and visitors should seek alternate routes than Route 52," police said.
