Shorewood To Approve Interim Village Administrator
Shorewood's Village Board will vote to appoint Shorewood Police Chief Aaron as the interim village administrator at Tuesday's meeting.

SHOREWOOD, IL — After two years and eight months on the job, Jim Culotta's tenure as Shorewood village administrator has come to an end. At Tuesday night's meeting, the Shorewood Village Board will vote to approve Shorewood's long-time Police Chief Aaron Klima as interim village administrator.
Klina told Patch that if the board approves his appointment, he would fulfill both job duties: village administrator and be the chief of police.
"I'm going to do both for now," he said Friday night.

Before coming to Shorewood in October 2018, Culotta worked for almost three years as the city of Washington near Peoria. Before that, he was the town administrator in Cedarburg, Wisconsin for nine years.
On Friday, Patch tried to call Culotta for comment about his departure, but his Shorewood cell phone has been deactivated and no longer accepts phone calls.

"Throughout my career, I have had a passion for 'good government,' which is exemplified by integrity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and a servant heart," Culotta proclaims on his Linkedin profile.
Klima has been the chief of police with Shorewood since September 2011.
In the April 6 elections, Clarence "C.C." DeBold defeated Dan Anderson by a slim margin to become the new village president.
Rick Chapman, the village president for 20 years, did not seek another term as village president, but ran for a village trustee position and was elected.
