There are also traffic lights in Shorewood west of Route 59 at the entrance for the Aldi and Home Depot as well as at the intersection of River and Black Roads.

In April, the village of Shorewood announced on social media that Black Road and Shorewood Drive would be the site of a new signalization project.
"P.T. Ferro has begun construction this morning on this project which will include installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection, construction of a right-turn lane on southbound Shorewood Drive and onto westbound Black Road, new asphalt surface, sidewalk ADA improvements, and other related work," the village announced at the time. "As a reminder: due to the complexity of the project, you will not be able to turn north onto Shorewood Drive north of Black Road. A detour route will be provided."
