Shorewood Lions Club Recognizes January Troy Students Of Month

Outstanding students from William B. Orenic Intermediate School, Troy Middle School named

The Troy Community School District 30-C school board recognized the Shorewood Lions Club January 2021 Students of the Month at the district’s February school board meeting.

The William B. Orenic Intermediate School 6th grade January 2021 Students of the Month are Elijah Grossman, Lauren Krohn, Cassidy Malloy and Daniel Morales.

The Troy Middle School 7th grade January 2021 Students of the Month are Daniel Lukancic, Robert Malinowski, Micah Polk and Calloway Walsh.

T.M.S. 8th grade January 2021 Students of the Month are Ogheneruror Anighoro, Jimena Ortiz, David Reyes and Riley Wylie.

Students were selected on the basis of consistent effort, productive citizenship, positive attitude and participation in class.

In addition to receiving certificates as Students of the Month, the students will $10 Amazon gift cards from the Shorewood Lions Club.

The Shorewood Lions Club helps needy persons in Troy Township who have sight or hearing problem get glasses, hearing aids and other related equipment, including seeing eye dogs. They also help sight- or hearing-impaired children sign up for Camp Lions in the summer.

The club meets at Matty’s Grill and Pancake House, 995 Brook Forest Avenue in Shorewood, on the second Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. Visitors are welcome. Check the club’s Facebook page for meeting change notifications.
